![]() I dont know if diablo invented this mechanic but it was in diablo1 & 2 and every clone ever made. You wouldnt be walking around in real life with a map covering your face so why do it in game? I think its just because instead of using arrow keys to move around the map they made it so you can click and drag the map around which I hate to admit is faster and more convenient but at what cost? Every diablo clone has allow a transparent map to be open in the center of the screen over your character. I imagine its just a lie or a cheap excuse that the reason they did this was in order to make the game feel more immersive. Even worse there was a “bug” where if you kept left click held down and opened the map with tab then you could keep moving with the map up… They “fixed” this issue so now your character stops at the last point your cursor was at when you opened the map. ![]() ![]() In Diablo3 the developers decided to break tradition and not allow us to move with the map open.
